1988 Gurney Alligator A3

This recumbent style machine was the third prototype designed and constructed by Dan Gurney’s All American Racers in Santa Ana, California. The Honda engine had been reworked to give a larger capacity and the inlet ports re-machined to a steep downdraught configuration in the quest for more power. Compare this bike to the production version also on display.
