Norton 850 Commando

In celebration of the new Norton Commando SE, we’re giving away some hyper-cool Norton gear. How cool? At the top of the list is a framed metallic print from the Lord of Light and Master of the Pixel, motorsports photographer Daniel Peirce. Featuring a 1973 Norton 850 Commando, the signed and numbered print is from Peirce’s critically acclaimed book, The Fine Art of the Motorcycle Engine.

The 16in x 20in print, available separately from our Vintage Shop and a great Christmas present – hint, hint – is from a series of photographs Peirce created for his Up-N-Smoke Engine Project (which formed the basis for his book) celebrating the art of the engine as so beautifully articulated in the motorcycles we all ride and collect. If you haven’t seen Peirce’s work, you’re missing out.

Rounding out our cool Norton giveaway are a Norton cap, a Norton mug and a Norton racing T-shirt. Remember, he who hesitates is lost, so go here to sign up today for a chance to win some cool Norton gear!

I remember back around 1968 when we used to ride our bikes back in the woods. My One of the guys had a BSA 441 and that was one cool bike ! I can still picture it and almost hear that distinctive sound when that bike fired up. That's probably what got me Triumphs and then buying a Norton. I wanted and have been looking for a Matchless but these prizes will keep me one step closer to my old Norton.
