Found on eBay: 1974 Bultaco Alpina

bultaco alpina

This week we decided to look for something a bit more unusual than your normal vintage Honda or BMW. Instead we decided on this lovely 1974 Bultaco Alpina.

A two-stroke, 350cc dual-sport, this Alpina appears to be mostly stock, aside from the rear shocks. The swingarm has also been modified, as the bottom shock mount has been moved forward of the standard location.

According to the auction, the current owner has had the bike since 2006, and has kept it inside in a climate-controlled location, riding it just a few times per year. He says it works perfectly, and is selling many of his vintage motorcycles. The bike comes with a bill of sale, but no title.

Though he doesn't list much more info about the bike, he does list a phone number where he can be reached if you have questions. Curious?

Found on eBay: 1974 Condor A350

condor

When we ran a feature a couple of issues back on the Condor A350 (March/April 2010), we metioned Blue Moon Cycle (www.BlueMoonCycle.com) in Norcross, Ga., as the place to go if you're interested in getting your hands on one of the neat A350s, made from 1974-1978 for the Swiss Army. John Landstrom, owner of Blue Moon, has since listed an A350 on eBay, along with a cool  informational video about the bike.

John bought this particular A350 at a Swiss Army surplus auction and brought it back to the U.S. The bike features a rubber mounted Ducati 350cc four-stroke Desmodronic engine. Includes spare bulbs, extensive tool kit, military saddlebags, twin rifle mounts, metal security chain lock with keyed padlock. Thoroughly serviced at Blue Moon's shop, it is sold with new battery, ready to ride and enjoy, and is 100% stock original.

About 3,000 of these rugged bikes were produced and constructed in Switzerland and were assigned to specialists in the Swiss Army.

Found on eBay: 1947 Scott Flying Squirrel

scott 1947

Here's something you don't see every day: Yes, it's a well-loved Scott Flying Squirrel, ready to ride and enjoy. Some days you just have to love eBay.

Located in Bonsall, Calif. (roughly between Los Angeles and San Diego), this Scott was first imported to the U.S. from England in 1984, and the auction includes this documentation. According to the auction, the engine has been stripped, decarbonized and re-gasketed, the 3-speed gearbox has been dismantled, cleaned and reassembled, and the clutch has been overhauled, along with a host of other parts and pieces being upgraded and replaced over the years to make it a functional daily rider.

The bike appears to be in fine shape, and while not a show bike, it looks as though it would make a very respectable addition to any classic bikers' garage. The bike comes with a clean and clear California title.

Found on eBay: 1959 Velocette LE MK3

velocette le

Though they're pretty common "across the pond" in Europe, not too many Velocette LE's were ever imported to the U.S. Here's a rare chance to own a very interesting small motorcycle.

This particular LE is a Mark 3 model, which means it has a 4-speed transmission and a foot shifter, along with the larger 192cc engine. Earlier models featured a 3-speed, hand-shifted transmission and a 150cc engine. According to the auction, this bike was originally purchased by the police in the city of Leeds, and it comes with the original English log book that shows the ownership history, and it's being sold with a bill of sale.
