1993 500cc Grand Prix World Champion Kevin Schwantz, former TT record holder, Maria Costello, Dutch Superbike series regular Peter Politiek, and a contingent of Manx-mounted New Zealanders will battle with American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) regulars for points at the 7th Annual Barber Vintage Festival in October, the first race of the AHRMA Vanson World Championship mini-series.

Schwantz will race the McIntosh Norton Manx he raced two years ago at Pukekohe, and Costello will compete on a Dunstall Lowboy. Politiek will be aboard his immaculately prepared Ducati and race the AHRMA Formula Vintage class. Politiek, Costello and the New Zealanders will follow the AHRMA regulars as they head to Daytona to complete their 2011 race year and the mini-series. Kevin’s, Maria’s and the New Zealanders’ participation is being funded by contributions from AHRMA membership.

Vintage enthusiasts will not want to miss this spectacular lineup and possibly the most competitive 500 Premier grid ever. For more event information, registration information, event timing or directions visit: www.ahrma.org and/or www.barbervintagefestival.com.
