For the first round of stretching with the plastic hammer, address the deepest areas of the part, delineated by the black marker line.

Our current stump has two hollowed-out areas, a crescent-shaped depression, and a concave curve (not visible). In addition, any flat surface or edge is a potential shaping or smoothing platform.
