On Thursday, the 28th of Januaray, the Buell liquidation sale started at 10am. It was a balmy 12 degrees with a 8-10 mph wind. I arrived at 9:40 am, and the line was already a hundred yards long. Everything inside the factory was for sale. Signs, banners, pictures, plaques, and the tools and machinery. It was a sad event. It was also very crowded, people trying to grab a piece of motorcycling history. I found a banner, had to have something. There still some workers there, loading completed bikes onto trucks for shipment to somewhere, and putting the finishing touches on other bikes that were almost ready to be packaged, and shipped out. Even if you were not a fan of Buell, it's a sad moment in the history of motorcycles in the USA.
