Though one might occasionally bump into a Vincent on eBay, you've probably never seen one like this. Perfectly restored and currently owned by the AMA's Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, this 1953 Black Shadow could be yours (for the right price, of course).

But why are they selling it? This bike was the prize for the Museum's 2008 Raffle, and as the winner of the raffle chose the cash payout instead of the Vincent, they've decided it's now time to share the bike with a new owner.

According to the auction, this Shadow has been restored, but started its life "as a complete machine. It is not in any sense a 'bitza bike.' Serial numbers on the engine, frame and rear member are correct. Moreover, each component is as it should be for this 1953 Series C Black Shadow."

Restored by Brent Mayfield of Centerville, Ohio and Canadian Vincent expert Mike White, this Vincent will surely make someone very proud.

That's just INSANITY! #$@! The money! Whoever won the raffle was a clueless wanker, hate to be a prick, but there it is. This is a one of a kind bike. One of the best and i am just completely stupified that someone would pass on this. I'd take that bike even I were broke and homeless. Any day. Sounds stupid, but hey, I get by, and with that Vincent, I'd get by even quicker; ) oh well.....
