Though this blog often includes a variety of bikes in a variety of conditions, we love to see an original bike for sale that someone has really taken care of. Today that's exactly what we've found: a 1974 Kawasaki Z1 that's ready for a new home and needs next to nothing.

The seller claims that this is one of the nicest unrestored Z1s you will ever see. That's always hard to determine from photos alone, but what we are sure of is this is one very nice Z1, and though he's sure to point out that it's not show quality, we'll take stock and original over perfect anyday. The seller, who says he's the second owner, has added new tires, battery, fuel lines, fuel filter, breather lines, rear shocks, spark plutgs, oil and filter. It also comes with a new set of grips, and still wears the originals, though they are missing a few fins.

Though it sounds as though the exhaust system is not original to this bike, it is correct for the bike and in fine condition, having come off another Z1 will less than 800 miles on it.

We think any reader would be proud and happy to own this fine example of one of Kawasaki's most important machines.
