The 1973 Benelli 650S Tornado is a very compact but robust looking bike — sort of like a Honda Benly that’s been pumping iron and abusing steroids.

Introduced in 1974, the Quattro used a 4-cylinder engine modeled directly on Honda's successful CB500 Four. It used the same bore and stroke, and rumors persist about parts interchangeability. It was released before its more famous big brother, the 750 Sei, the world's first 6-cylinder production motorcycle.

The Benelli Sei 750 was the first-ever production six-cylinder motorcycle. First shown to the public in the fall of 1972, it was a direct response to the surge in popularity of Japanese motorcycles. Production bikes finally appeared in 1974.
