1922 Reading Standard

Reading Standard was a relatively small producer of quality motorcycles, and unusual for the time, never got involved in racing. The big three, Harley-Davidson, Indian and Excelsior, capitalized on their track successes to increase sales, but Reading Standard faded away by 1924, and only a handful of these classic motorcycles exist today. This machine was located in Mexico and restored at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

Beautiful, While the plastic dipped bikes of today have their own type of functional beauty, when you see most engines on them they look a bit like a magnet dragged through a bucket of bolts. This, on the other hand, is masterpiece of symmetry. You could almost hold a mirror up in the middle and it would look the same.
