Alpinestars T-Dyno Waterproof Jacket

Versatility in riding gear is a real asset if you ride where there are four distinct seasons and not all of them favor motorcycle riding.

Making the most of the available days means having gear that will help you stay warm and dry on those days when riding conditions are less than ideal or can quickly get that way.

The Alpinestars T-Dyno waterproof jacket is just such a piece of gear.  It is available in the red/white/black color combination shown or black/white and both include reflective logos and piping on front, back and sleeves to enhance visibility in low light.

The 600 denier polyester outer shell has a polyurethane (PU) coating that creates a breathable waterproof membrane.  Inside, a zip-out insulated long-sleeve lining backs up the outer shell for cold-weather comfort.

The Alpinestars T-Dyno design includes something a number of other riding jackets with zip-out linings don’t: a wide, robust interior storm flap that seals the opening of the YKK main zipper. Absence of a storm flap (exterior or interior) on some jackets I’ve had allows cold wind to penetrate the front of the jacket, even if the insulated lining keeps the wind out everywhere else.  That feature in combination with the shell and lining, hook and loop closures around the sleeve cuffs and a hook and loop closure around the stand-up collar make the T-Dyno remarkably windproof. Riding on a sunny but unseasonably cold, windy day in November proved how well the combination works.
