MOTOAUCT Vintage Motorcycle Auction Site

Sell your Bike

Looking for an alternative to traditional auctions, eBay or Craigslist for buying and selling vintage bikes? Created by vintage bike enthusiasts Jason Delacroix and Jason Williams, MOTOAUCT is a new online vintage motorcycle auction site offering buyers and sellers an easier way to find and sell. Sellers and buyers are vetted, and the online format means sellers don’t have to hassle with shipping bikes to auction and buyers don’t have to hassle with immediate, on-site shipping.

Good Day, Unfortunately the way the site is arranged AFTER my work & entry in this space - a click on the 'share button' wiped out the entire entry sending me to the 'sign-in page". No matter, a "re-type" follows (so, a suggestion - 'log-in 1st' or something more user friendly arrangement). Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Not sure how long the service (bike sales alternative to CL, flee-bay) has been around but here's a wish list (1 that may draw more 2 yer site) - * An anonymous listing such that buyer and seller identity and exact geographic location is not revealed (initially); * Ability to index by potential buyer when visiting: 1 day I could do so by "track or st" bike, another visit by "price", a third day by "make', yr, price, dealer (commercial) v private party, "parts only" bikes; * To perform the service of a "bank" or pass thru (for seller as well as buyer); * To arbitrate for each exchange that went 'bust'; * Plenty of space for pic and written description; * for exchanges over a certain dollar figure a cash available certification. Tire Kickers should B allowed but when in negotiations sellers can become frustrated after working hard & finding the potential buyer unable to 'put money where the mouth is"; and lastly, * Ability to have a healthy on-line exchange between buyer and seller allowing full disclosure on interest and what is actually for sale. Some easier to provide than others... Good Luck w/the service! - -Chad Amherst, MA USA

Good Day, When developing the site please allow extensive area for descriptive verbal/written and photographic content. Anominity as to exact location & identity (buyer and owner) would be nice. Ability to perform third party financial exchange — 'be the bank' (for customer/seller) and Arbitration power over exchanges would be a real service. Finally, a useable, consistent, user arrangeable index to the bikes would attract more of the public to your site. If one day I could look at "all the track" bikes...another arrange the listings "by price"...and a third day or visit by "yr" or "make", or 'seller' (private or commercial sellers)... Good Luck w/the site/service. I can see it take off if its a good alternative &/or of good utility. - -Chad Amherst MA USA
