Found on eBay: 1977 BMW R100RS
By Landon Hall
We’ve always thought that the R100RS is one of BMW’s most appealing designs, and it’s definitely one that always gets our attention.
Though we featured one in this same blog about a year ago (check out the Motosport Edition RS, one of just 200 made in Police White and Rennsport Red), our latest find was too good not to share.
A low production number model (the seller notes that the VIN is 618009, the 9th R100RS built in 1977). The bike has 65,000 miles on the clock and appears to be in fine shape, though it may need a bit of a tune-up.
If you’re not familiar with the R100RS, check out our story “The BMW R100RS: The Seven-Piece Suit” for more info.
