We're just back from the 6th Annual Barber Vintage Festival, and while there are many stories to tell and photos to share, one immediate effect of the festival is we're now itching to buy a Honda CA160.

A loyal subscriber and a friend of the magazine, Howard Boone was kind enough to loan us a bike during the festival for running around the show grounds. It was a red and original Honda CA160, complete with a set of period pinstripes that made everyone who saw it smile. Small, light and easy to ride, this Honda reminded us how much fun a little streebike can be, and it sent us looking for one this week.

What we found was this 1966 Honda CA 160. According to the auction, it's a good runner that just needs a little TLC. The current owner is guessing that it's an older repaint that's probably due for another coat. The odometer reads just 13,414 miles. The electric start works just fine, though the tail light doesn't work. A replacement tail light is included in the auction. The balffles have also been taken out of the exhaust that it currently wears, so it's loud. The bike does come with an exhaust system from a 305 that can be modified to fit the 160.

This looks to be a pretty good deal, and appears to be listed with no reserve.
