This week's eBay find may not be the rarest bike we've featured here, but with another round of fresh snow on the ground here in February, it's definately the one that's got us thinking about a lovely spring Sunday-morning ride.
The 1978 Honda CB750F Super Sport was the last model year to feature the single overhead cam, 736cc inline four cylinder, and while not perfect, this bike seems to be in pretty decent condition, aside from a few cosmetic issues. According to the auction, the bike has freshly rebuilt carburetors and orignial paint. The seller does mention that the gas tank has a small dent on both sides, along with a bit of rust pitting on the speedometer and tachometer covers. The tachometer cover also has a small dent in it, and the seller also mentions that it is due for a new set of tires. Still, as best we can tell from the photos, the bike looks to be in pretty decent overall shape, and the seller says it runs well. We think this would make a nice, affordable way to get out on the road. Buy it, add some new tires and a quick round of maintenance, and be on the road as soon as spring gets here!
