Avon Tyres Contributes to Military Bike Giveaway in Support of Re-Cycle for the Troops

STOW, OH – August 6, 2012 – Avon Motorcycle Tyres North America (Avon Tyres) is proud to support Re-Cycle for the Troops by contributing tires to a custom-built military-themed tribute bike built by Bryan Nikkel and Justin Bailey of Darwin Motorcycles/Brass Balls Bobbers. The 1967 BSA Lightning, featuring Avon Roadrider AM26 3.25-19 (front) and 110/90-18 (rear) was donated by Jay Allen of Allen’s Road Show and will be given away on Aug. 8 during Thunder Dome Sturgis 2012.

“We were so pleased to have been selected to build this remarkable custom motorcycle in honor of our military men and women,” Stated Darwin (Dar) Holdsworth, Darwin Motorcycles/Brass Balls Bobbers. “This is just one of many custom motorcycle projects we have completed in support of a variety of military charities since 2006, and we are proud to have a role in giving back those who have given so much.”
