Got a 1974 BMW  R90S? You might be able to ride it in the parade at the 2009 AMA Vintage Days.

Going to Vintage Motorcycle Days in Lexington, Ohio this summer? Want to be involved in what’s sure to be one of the neatest events we’ve heard of in awhile? Read on, and see if you’ve got the right bike to take part in a special celebration that the AMA is planning to celebrate its 85th Anniversary.

The AMA plans to celebrate its 85th Anniversary with a special parade at the 2009 AMA Vintage Days. They’ve made a list, ful of bikes from 1924 to 2009, that they feel encompases the most significant models of these years. They’re also looking for owners who will be able to commit to riding and displaying their machines all three days of the event, but it sounds like it would be a fun way to spend part of VMD to us.

Here’s just a sampling of some of the 1960-1970s model year bikes they’re looking for:
