<p>One of the first things Bill Costello did upon completing restoration of his father’s <a title=”1958 BMW R50″ href=”http://www.motorcycleclassics.com/classic-german-motorcycles/very-special-1958-bmw-r50.aspx” target=”_blank”>1958 BMW R50</a> was to craft a sort of video memorial to his dad. Blending old stills of Richard with the BMW and recent photos of the restoration project, Bill put together a moving tribute to his father that quite unexpectedly went viral; after posting it on YouTube, it received almost 350,000 hits in a matter of months. “I’m the first person I know who made a video that went viral, I’m getting comments from all over the world,” Bill says. Here’s the touching tribute Bill made for his father and the R50:</p>
