From classic motorcycle shock absorbers to fiberglass motorcycle fairings, here are six cool products every classic motorcycle fan needs to know about:Â
Original-style Motorcycle Shocks for Kawasaki H1 and H2 Triples
Sudco International recently announced the availability of original-style reproduction EMGO chrome classic motorcycle shock absorbers for Kawasaki H1 and H2 triples. The shocks feature adjustable preload and come in pairs to fit 1969-1976 H1 500s and 1971-1975 H2 750s. Shocks and springs are fully chromed, with a gray plastic sleeve to protect the damper rod. Extended length is 325mm eye to eye, with a 14mm top bushing and 10mm bottom bush. $80 per set.
No More Blued Pipes
Although some people look at blued exhaust pipes as a badge of honor, proof that you actually ride your classic motorcycle instead of letting it sit, the truth is, most of us don’t like them. Mellow yellow, sure, but not blue. Minnesota-based Wizards Products has come out with Out Of The Blue, a new polishing kit featuring a special polishing cloth and polish to remove bluing and discoloration from chrome or stainless steel exhaust systems. $15.95.
Paint for Classic Bikes
U.K.-based RS Bike Paint Ltd. specializes in touch up, aerosol and bulk paint for classic motorcycles and scooters, with coverage for just about every motorcycle ever made. From 1902 to 2011, from Adler to Zundapp, RS claims it can fill just about any order from its database of more than 25,000 paint formulations. An online catalog makes it easy to see what colors they have for your bike, and includes pricing information, as well. $12.50 and up.
Spectro Motorcycle Chain Lube
If your bike has chain final drive you know that you need to keep the chain clean and lubed to get maximum life and performance from it. But motorcycle chain lubes also attract dirt, making many of them less than ideal. Spectro Oils claims its new Z-Clean Chain Lube gives superior wear protection while also inhibiting the build up of dirt and grit. O-ring and X-ring safe, it’s been designed with both road and dirt riding in mind. 13.5 ounces, $14.15.

California-based Airtech Streamlining has been making fiberglass motorcycle fairings for race and road bikes for more than 25 years. Whether it’s a Dunstall fairing for a Norton or a dustbin fairing for a Moto Guzzi, Airtech can make it.
