December 6, 2014, marks the date of the second annual Revival Rally sponsored by the Cafe-Moto Club, which is building a bike to raise money for charity. The bike will be built on location and in collaboration with Track Side Cycles, a shop dedicated to the care, restoration and maintenance of vintage motorcycles. Ross Davis, the owner and a Master “Red Level” Honda Technician, has teamed up with custom fabricator Bobby Sheffey for the build.
“When it came time to decide on a charity, we were really excited when we discovered the K9s for Warriors Foundation,” says the Café-Moto Raffle Bike web page. “K9s for Warriors is dedicated to providing service dogs to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service post 9/11. The goal of K9s for Warriors is to provide a new “leash” on life for both rescue dogs and military heroes by empowering warriors to return to civilian life with dignity and independence. For more information and how you can help this charity after our event you can email info@k9sforwarriors.org. Once the who/what/when & where were discussed, we then had to figure out the ‘how.’ After only a few days of searching, we got lucky and a lead took us to a 1974 Honda SL350. At that point we turned to the motorcycle community for the parts. Below is a list of the sponsors who have joined us on this thrilling journey and for that we are thankful.”
