As promised, here’s more highlights from the Veterama Ludwigshaffen, a swap meet located in south-central Germany. See the post below for more info on this event.
Here’s a nice BMW R65LS, just like the one featured in the March/April 2006 issue of Motorcycle Classics. It was for sale for 3,000 Euro.
I couldn’t resist this cute Velocette 250cc four-stroke, shaft-drive boxer. I bought it with only 312 original miles on it.
Always a popular place, the beer stand was doing business at 9 a.m.
I can’t seem to get away from the custom Harley scene, but notice the clean original take-off parts probably going for a song.
Inside, vendors are a little more professional. Here’s the Zundapp club stand.
This Cafe Norton is all business.
You can still get a good deal on a classic BMW airhead. This Paris Dakar R80GS sold for 3,500 Euro.
Here’s a beautiful restored BMW R25. The only problem is it was 7,500 Euro.
Last but not least, here’s a Zundapp KS601 “Green Elephant.”
This is just a small selection of the several hundred vendors that attended. This year I bought 14 classic bikes and 5 sidecars. The dollar is at a historic low, but I was still able to find some deals! — John Landstrom
