Vintage Motorcycle Days are upon us, running July 22-24 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Twenty years strong, VMD is still the biggest vintage motorcycle event on the calendar and the American Motorcyclist Association’s premier vintage weekend. Activities over the three-day event include vintage racing, seminars, bike shows, rides, club displays, the Craig Vetter Fuel Economy Challenge and the largest vintage motorcycle swap meet held anywhere, covering 35 acres!
You could win this 1973 Kawasaki Z1 …
Or this 2010 Kawasaki Z1000
Featured marque for 2011 is Kawasaki, celebrating its 50th anniversary of producing Kawasaki-badged motorcycles. Proceeds from VMD go to support the Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which is raffling off a pair of Kawasakis, including a perfectly restored 1973 Z1, the 903cc inline four that launched Kawasaki into a new era of four-stroke motorcycles, and a brand new Z1000. We’ll take the Z1, thank you very much. Suggested donation for raffle tickets is only $5, a bargain if you win and a winning proposition even if you don’t, since you’ll be supporting the Motorcycle Hall of Fame’s continuing efforts to preserve motorcycling’s rich heritage.
