A lovely trio of Brits at Road America Motorcycle Classic.

A few months before we head to Washington we’ll load up for our annual run to Elkhart Lake, Wis., and the fourth annual Road America Motorcycle Classic, June 7-9, at the historic Road America race track.

The Motorcycle Classic has grown steadily since the inaugural 2010 event, with an estimated 7,500 vintage enthusiasts attending last year: We expect the 2013 show to be the best yet. Motorcycle Classics will be there hosting our annual Road America Ride & Show, featuring a 40-mile ride through Wisconsin’s rolling Kettle Moraine area followed by our annual Vintage Bike Show, with trophies awarded in five categories including Editor’s Choice. The variety of machines is always impressive, and we’ve had everything from Ariels and Moto Morinis to beautifully café’d Yamahas and Nortons make our annual ride.

Vintage motorcycle racing returns, with rounds 9 and 10 of the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA)/CPL Systems National Historic Cup Roadrace series, plus the classic bike swap meet and club corrals. It’s an excellent weekend of vintage riding, racing and wrenching at one of the most storied race tracks in the country, and four people will take it in for free in the AHRMA Get-Away Sweepstakes to Road America. The winner gets event tickets for four and two-night lodging at the Blue Harbor Resort on Lake Michigan.
