Riders work their way through the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal, during the event.

We’re a little embarrassed that we somehow neglected to alert readers to the 2nd Annual Enfield & Vintage Riders Reunion in Kathmandu, Nepal. Put on by Vintage Motorcycle Club Nepal with support from none other than international brand Chivas Regal, FORE (Friends of Royal Enfield Nepal), the Thamel Tourism Board, The Factory Restaurant Café & Bar Thamel and the Kedia Organization, the second event, held May 31-June 1, 2014, was a rousing success, as evidenced by the great selection of photos forwarded to us by Vintage Motorcycle Club Nepal president Julian Shrestha.

Best of Show went to a 1982 Royal Enfield Bullet (you saw that coming, right?) while the Best Customized award went to another Bullet, this time a 1990 model. The event included a ride, live music, food and of course lots of interesting vintage iron, including Royal Enfields, of course. Interest in vintage motorcycles continues to build in Nepal, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Julian and the members of the Vintage Motorcycle Club of Nepal. We’ll make sure to post information for the 2015 event when the time draws near. – Richard Backus
