Whether you know it or not, you want a sidecar. Really, you do. Okay, so maybe you can’t get one, but you know you want to hang out with a bunch of sidecar nuts. Really, you do. We’ll here’s your chance because the 42nd Annual Griffith Park Sidecar Rally happens September 15, 2013, in – where else? – Griffith Park in Glendale, Calif., just north of Los Angeles on I-5 and easily accessible by – what else? – sidecar!

Put on by Side Strider sidecar manufacturer Doug “Mr. Sidecar” Bingham, the Griffith Park event is a celebration of all things sidecar, from wacky homebuilt originals to fabulously restored vintage sidecars, racing sidecars, experimental sidecars – the variety of rigs on hands is simply amazing. And did we mention that it’s free? Exhibitors pay a paltry $10 to display their rigs (the money helps defray advertising and show costs – nobody’s making money on this deal), but attendees get in free. If you’re in the area you should do yourself a favor and go. And look for Doug; he’ll be the bald guy wearing a Side Strider T-shirt talking somebody’s ear off.

Sign up or get more info on the rally at the Side Strider web site or by emailing Doug at sidecars@sidestride.com– or just call him at (818) 780-5542.
