Three more great reasons to attend the 9th Annual Barber Vintage Festival: On Friday Oct. 11 at 2 p.m., Honda GL1000/GL1100 specialist Randall Washington of Randakk’s Cycle Shakk will give a 1-hour seminar on motorcycle ignition systems. Then on Saturday at 11 a.m. join Continental Tire motorcycle tire specialist Jeff Reid for an inside look at motorcycle tire construction and how to read tires. Finally, Randakk’s Randall Washington returns at 2 p.m. for a 1-hour seminar on carburetion for vintage motorcycles.

There’s a lot going on over the three-day Barber Festival, but that shouldn’t stop you from checking out these special 1-hour seminars, presented by motorcycle enthusiasts who are experts in their fields. Continental Tire’s Jeff Reid is an active motorcyclist with years of experience in the tire industry. A regular at BMW club events and other shows, he commits a great deal of time to educating owners and riders about tire fundamentals, what to look for, what to expect and how to read your tires so you’ll get down the road safely. Randall Washington has become something of a legend in Honda GL1000/GL1100 circles for his comprehensive carburetor overhaul system for the GL’s unique four-carb system, complete with a video to take owners through the process step-by-step.

The seminars will be held at the Motorcycle Classics tent in the vendor field, Tram Stop #2. These seminars are open to everyone, and we’d suggest showing up a few minutes early to make sure you have room to see and hear Randall and Jeff as they present their seminars. They might even bring some cool swag ….
