It’s not too late to pack your tank bag and point your scoot toward Elkhart Lake and Wisconsin’s famed Road America race track for Rockerbox Motofest 2015, June 5-7. The weekend-long festival centers around a ride-in bike show and competition, entering riders from all over the country in several competitive award classes to showcase the greatest in classic style and fresh customization. Meanwhile, the Road America paddock will be packed with local and national vendors, live music, food, and beer.
This will be the second Rockerbox Motofest at Road America, featuring two days of AHRMA vintage motorcycle racing on Road America’s legendary 4-mile road course. We’ll award a special Motorcycle Classics Editors’ Choice Award at the Rockerbox Bike Show (proceeds supporting associated charities) which last year drew an eclectic selection of custom vintage bikes. Rockerbox Bike Show bikes will line both sides of the Rockerbox Motofest avenue, a return to Rockerbox’s roots when it was held as a street show in urban Milwaukee, starting with the first show in 2003.
Judges for the show include an all-star lineup from the vintage and custom motorcycle community, including restoration guru and vintage bike and car expert Fred Cousins, motorcycle builder and VinMoto stalwart Godffery, Restrospeed founder and owner Brady Ingelse, and Rockerbox Motofest co-founder Scott Johnson. Motorcycle Classics editor-in-chief Richard Backus rounds out the judges’ panel, which will judge bikes in five classes. New for this year will be a People’s Choice award.
