The 2011 Bonneville Vintage GP Raffle Bike in process at BMW/Triumph Motorcycles of Salt Lake
Every year, Bonneville Vintage GP organizer Tom Kullen finds a way to secure and raffle off a vintage race bike as part of the annual Bonneville Vintage GP. Past years have seen some lovely little race-prepped Honda CB160s from Vicious Cycle in Portland, Ore. This year’s raffle bike will be a fully race-prepped BMW R75/5 converted to 900cc specs, with work being done by the crew at BMW/Triumph Motorcycles of Salt Lake.
Once done, this bike will be unrecognizable from stock, receiving a complete and comprehensive engine overhaul, full suspension upgrade, complete fiberglass bodywork from BoxerCafe, upgraded rear swingarm and fully strengthened and gusseted frame. Basically, everything you might need or want for a fully competitive Formula 750/BEARS eligible BMW for AHRMA vintage racing.
Looking good: Engine test fit, note the frame gussets. This will be one serious machine.
You know you want it, so enter now to win the 2011 Bonneville Vintage GP Raffle Bike. Tickets are only $5 each or five (5) for $20. Entering is easy, just make a check out to BVGP Raffle Bike and mail it to:
