The Brewtown Rumble is Milwaukee’s new vintage motorcycle festival featuring an antique and classic motorcycle show, live music, pin-up girl contest and vendors. The Rumble is free and will be held Sunday, May 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the streets of the historic Pabst Brewery (9th and Juneau Avenue). Everyone is welcome at the Rumble — riders and motorcycle enthusiasts alike.
“Milwaukee has a strong motorcycle culture full of people who maintain and ride vintage and classic bikes,” says Kevin Frank, organizer of the Brewtown Rumble. “It doesn’t matter the make, model or condition of the bike. The Rumble is about keeping these bikes running, not just how they look. As the saying goes: ride ’em, don’t hide ’em.”
The bike show is open to anyone with a stock or custom antique, vintage or retro motorcycle that is at least 25 years old. Registration is $10 per bike through May 15. On site, day of event registration is $15. Proceeds from the event will go to BUILD Moto, an educational organization dedicated to pairing teams of high school students with bike-building mentors in a collective effort to learn valuable life and interpersonal skills while restoring vintage motorcycles. Throughout the day, enjoy live, local music by The Grovelers, Crazy Rocket Fuel and Doghouse Flowers on our Pabst Music Stage, help us crown Miss Brewtown Rumble during our pin-up contest, and visit over 20 exhibitors including bike shops and dealers, moto-related organizations and accessory vendors. Food will be available for purchase on site through Bel Air Cantina along with local food trucks.
Pre-Party at the Harley-Davidson Museum
Help us kick it all off the day before with a not-to-be-missed event, a Pre-Party at the Harley-Davidson Museum on Saturday, May 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. During the Pre-Party, enjoy live music by the Cat Club, Spain’s hottest rockabilly trio. The Brewtown Rumble is sponsored by the Harley Davidson Museum, Best Place at the Pabst Brewery, Pabst Brewing Company, 91.7 WMSE, Steelhorse Law, Reina International Auto, Fuel Café, Porcaro Indian Motorcycles of Racine, Moto Union and Schlossmann Motorcycles. The event was created by members of the Badger Heritage Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and MilVinMoto, a group of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts from Milwaukee.
